Catfish powder is a traditional ingredient widely used in West African cuisines to enrich sauces, soups, and broths. Obtained from dried and then finely ground catfish, this 100% natural powder brings a deep, smoky and salty flavour, typical of dishes of African origin.

It can be used as a replacement for industrial broths, while remaining faithful to homemade recipes. A simple spoonful is enough to transform an ordinary sauce into a tasty dish rich in taste. Catfish, known for its fragrant flesh, gives here a fine, highly concentrated powder, perfect for sauces based on okra, corchorus leaves, peanuts or clear soups.

This product is free of additives, no added salt, and naturally rich in protein. It is aimed at all African cuisines: Malian, Beninese, Togolese, Nigerian… Its authentic taste enhances dishes without distorting them.

Packaged in a 50 g bag, this powder is easy to dose and store. It’s a must-have in your pantry if you want to cook in a natural, quick and traditional way.

A rare spice, to be integrated into your dishes to find the original flavors.

Pinton Sardinelle Paste – 380g

Pinton sardinella paste – 380g – is a key ingredient in West African cuisine. Especially in Senegalese, Ivorian and Guinean dishes. It is prepared from fermented sardinella, also called “pinton”, carefully reduced to a paste to obtain an intense, rich and tasty seasoning. Highly concentrated, this paste is used in small quantities to enhance the taste of traditional dishes.

Its powerful taste gives a unique identity to many preparations such as mafé, thiebou dieune (rice with fish). But also yassa or leafy vegetable sauces. Simply add a small spoon to your sauce at the beginning of cooking and the flavors slowly diffuse and envelop the entire dish.

Pinton sardinella paste is also a great way to enrich fish and meat broths or marinades. Thanks to its high umami content, it naturally enhances the taste without the need to add too much salt or extra spices. It sometimes replaces dried fish or industrial cubes in traditional recipes.

The 380 g format is perfect for regular family use. Once opened, it can be kept for several weeks in the refrigerator in an airtight jar. It is a staple product to always have on hand to find the flavors of West Africa, even outside the continent.
