Description
Thiéré Lalo de Mil – 500 g bag
Thiéré Lalo de Mil is a traditional West African semolina prepared from millet flour and enriched with “lalo”, a natural binder obtained from dried and powdered leaves (often baobab or okra). This unique combination gives thiéré a slightly viscous texture and enhanced nutritional richness.
Very popular in Senegal, Mali, Gambia and Burkina Faso, this product occupies a central place in the daily diet and major celebrations. Unlike classic couscous, Thiéré Lalo is often combined with thick sauces, African vegetables or proteins such as smoked or dried fish. It can be used in savory recipes as well as in sweet or dairy preparations.
Rich in fiber, minerals and naturally gluten-free, thiéré lalo is not only filling, but also beneficial for digestion. Lalo plays a dual role here: it gives the dish a creamy consistency and increases the micronutrient content, especially calcium and iron.
Pre-cooked for ease of use, this product is quickly prepared by steaming it or with a little hot water. Its mild taste and pleasant texture make it a perfect base for many authentic African recipes.
An essential cereal to discover or rediscover for all lovers of African cuisine!
