Vetiver Root (Khamare, Gongolili)
Sizes: 5, 10 or 15 rods
Vetiver root, called Khamare or Gongolili depending on the region of West Africa, is a precious plant that has been used for generations for its purifying and toning properties. Harvested by hand, this long, fibrous root exudes a natural, woody and soothing scent. It can be found in traditional wellness rituals, body care and homemade infusions.
In many cultures, vetiver plays an essential role in feminine hygiene, especially after childbirth or during menstrual periods. As an infusion, it helps to cleanse the body, regulate body temperature and relieve digestive pain. It also provides a cooling effect that is much sought after during the hot season. Drinking this decoction purifies the body while enjoying a subtle and slightly earthy taste.
To prepare herbal tea, simply wash three vetiver stalks and then boil them in a liter of water for about 10 to 15 minutes. Once filtered, the infusion can be consumed hot or cold, with or without sugar, and combines very well with lemon or ginger. Some people also use it in baths to relax the body or as a natural perfume for the home.
This product is packaged in convenient sizes of 5, 10 or 15 stems, to adapt to your frequency of use. The root retains its aroma and virtues when stored away from humidity. Ecological and without additives, it fits perfectly into a natural routine, respectful of the environment and traditions.
Vetiver root embodies both the richness of African heritage and the effectiveness of simple remedies. It offers a natural alternative to industrial products, in line with ancestral know-how.
