Description
Akpi Ground – Djansang Ground – 50 g and 100 g
ground akpi, also called djansang, comes from the seeds of the Ricinodendron heudelotii, an emblematic tropical tree from Central Africa. Once harvested, the seeds are carefully dried, then ground to order to ensure maximum freshness and preserved flavors. This artisanal grind preserves all the taste properties of this exceptional product.
Recognized for its thickening qualities and its slightly nutty, buttery taste, akpi is an essential ingredient in Ivorian, Cameroonian and Congolese cuisine. Its powder form makes it easier to incorporate into sauces, while ensuring a homogeneous texture. Thanks to its freshness, the product dissolves quickly in preparations without forming lumps.
In cooking, it is used in small quantities, generally at the end of cooking, to strengthen flavors and bind sauces. It goes perfectly with meat, fish or leafy vegetable dishes like ndolé. It is particularly used in yellow sauce or certain mafé recipes.
Available in sachets of 50 g or 100 g, akpi ground to order is suitable for both occasional uses and regular cooks. It is 100% natural, without preservatives, without additives, and prepared by hand with respect for traditions. Store it in an airtight jar away from humidity to preserve its freshness.
